Notice of Annual General Meeting – 19 November 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Sydney Maritime Museum (t/a Sydney Heritage Fleet) 2025 AGM will be held aboard Barque James Craig at Wharf 7, 58 Pirrama Road, Pyrmont NSW 2009 at 6.00pm on Wednesday 19th November 2025.

Registration commences at the venue from 5.30pm and closes at 6.00pm.

Special Resolution

A Special Resolution will be moved at this AGM:

That, consistent with Rule 43.5 of the Sydney Maritime Museum Constitution, the AGM by Special Resolution shall extend the term limit for John Winning to allow him to stand as President in 2025. 

Nominations for the position of President and Directors

One (1) President position and three (3) director positions are available for two-year terms commencing 19 November 2024.

Forms signed by the nominee and two supporting members must be received by the Company Secretary no later than 5.00pm Friday, 31 October 2025.

Information about nominees

A short bio document not exceeding 500 words and a photo may be sent with the nomination form to the company secretary for circulation to members and publication online.

Proxy form

A proxy form showing resolutions to be voted on and directors seeking election will be sent to all financial members by email and published to the Members Area of the SHF Website on Monday 3 November 2025

Members who cannot attend in person and who wish to complete a proxy form must return it before 5:00pm Monday 17 November 2025

Voting

Directors will be elected at the AGM based on votes of financial members attending and proxy votes held by members attending.

A completed proxy form may be emailed to companysecretary@shf.org.au, delivered by hand or posted to:

The proxy form must be received not later than 5:00pm Monday 17 November 2025

Please note: If a proxy form is brought by the appointed proxy holder to the AGM it must be given to the company secretary before the meeting starts at 6.00pm on 19 November 2025.
